Welcome everyone to another program year.

The NYSOMA Board held its first meeting of the year September 16, 2006 in

Spencerport.

This past summer NYSOMA conducted two one-day camps - Spontaneous

Combustion with Style in Goshen and Spencerport. This year for the first

time participants received a special pin which you can only get by

attending a summer camp. After looking at the feedback from this years

participates we had a decision as to when to hold this years camps, in

July or early fall. Dates and locations for this year's camps are yet to

be determined.

This fall two NYSOMA sponsored coaches training will be held. The first

one will be in Olean on October 14th and the second on will be in York on

October 28th.

The NYSOMA Board also reviewed pin designs received and selected the

designs for this year's pins.

Head judge/problem captain training will again be held this year in

Binghamton at Broome Community College on January 6, 2007.

The next board meeting will be held in Herkimer on October 21st.
