For Competing Teams (top)

In order to compete, teams must be registered with the:

  1. National "Odyssey of the MindTM" program ( Creative Competitions, Inc.)
    Registration must be completed by December 15, 2009. You need the national registration card to register for competition. You also need your national registration number to register with NYSOMA. Link to Odyssey of the Mind registration form
  2. New York State OM Association, Inc. ( NYSOMA )
    Registration (including payment by purchase order or check) must be completed by December 15, 2009. Online registration is now available at: NYSOMA registration
    • NYSOMA state registration fee is $ 80.00 per membership.
    • Checks and Purchase Orders can be sent to the Registrar at:

    • Please include your membership name(s) and number(s) on any purchase orders or checks (or include a printout of your NYSOMA online regsitration)! There are many schools with similar names in the state, and the registrar needs as much information as possible to match your payment to your online registration.
  3. Your regional Odyssey of the Mind association
    Cutoff dates set by the regions, Contact your Regional Director for details. Visit the Regional Info section for your particular region for more information.

    * Note: Teams advancing to State Finals this year, the SF Tournament Registration fee will be $60.00. Register on-line here for the State Tournament
  4. Teams must participate in a sanctioned Regional Tournament to qualify for the NYSOMA state finals. (If no regional tournament is available contact the NYSOMA Association Director.)
