There are 3 steps involved in registering which allows teams to compete in their regional competition. Each step must be completed in the following order.

STEP 1:  REGISTER for membership at the National level—Odyssey of the Mind administered by Creative Competitions Inc. (CCI). This registration gives schools access to the 5 long term problems, one non-competitive primary problem, an Odyssey of the Mind Program Guide as well as the opportunity to enter official competitions.  Cost is $135.00 for membership registration for your school.  If your school has multiple teams, within the same division, competing in the same problem(s), you will need an additional membership(s). Paid membership with CCI yields a national registration number which is required for NYSOMA membership and to compete in all official competitions.

STEP 2: REGISTER with New York State Odyssey of the Mind Association, Inc. (NYSOMA). This registration allows teams to compete in their regional competition.  Cost is $90.00 per national membership.  This means that if a school has more than one national membership, they must also purchase an additional state membership.

Online registration is now available at: NYSOMA registration. This link will take you to the Member Area of the Odyssey of the Mind website.  Please login and then click on NYSOMA State Memberships which will take you to the registration form.  Registration must be completed by December 15, 2011.  Registrations after this date will incur a $50.00 late fee.  Payment must be received by February 1, 2012.  A purchase order alone does NOT constitute payment.  Payments received after February 1, 2012 are subject to a $50.00 late fee.  TEAMS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO COMPETE IN REGIONAL TOURNAMENTS WITH FEES OUTSTANDING. STEP 3:  REGISTER with your regional Odyssey of the Mind Association. This registration allows for schools to get regional support for coaches' and judges' trainings and information on the regional tournament.
